April seems to be the month that foxes seem to be gathering in numbers but not being attracted to a food source.  The theory is that foxes are gathering to find a mate to pair up with prior to mating which usually takes place in June/July.  These observations are reminiscent of Night Clubbing for foxes where they might, without music, do the Old-time Dance the FOXTROT.
